Neil deGrasse Tyson, Jimmy Page and Imogen Heap.
Afternoon you lovely people, we've had a really busy week with both the rehearsal studio and the podcast, so thanks for coming down and thanks for listening to the podcast!
Here is Friday 24th February's Top 5;
Feel free to share it around with whomever you think appropriate!
1) Video of the week.
Hide and Seek - Imogen Heap performed by the Brooklyn Duo featuring Dover Quartet.
The original is beautiful, particularly if you really listen to the lyrics and follow the intention. The strings really make it more powerful and human, truly beautiful.
2) Track of the week.
Jimmy Page - How Stairway Was Written.
3) Quote of the week.
"Words can be hurtful but they're not the same as violence, and we can counter with other words."
- Jonathan Rauch
4) Podcast of the week.
Joe Rogan Experience #919 - Neil deGrasse Tyson
It's no secret that I'm a big fan of Joe Rogan. His podcast was one of the first and remains at the top to this day, bearing in mind most episodes are 2-3 hours and he is now on episode 920. The amount of free content is staggering and the guests are more often than not very interesting, and this one is no exception. Well worth your time and watching the episode on YouTube offers more than just listening.
5) Gig of the week.
As mentioned in this weeks Audio Works Podcast with special guest Lal Muttock there are gigs on all over the town this weekend, so check out the episode and try to get to one, or all of them, it's the weekend, perfect time to get around a bit.
Speak to you Friday,
Josh
