All of which are American dreams.

AFTERNOON ALL!

HERE IS FRIDAY 8TH JUNE'S TOP 5 ALL THINGS AWESOME THIS WEEK.

LET'S GO...

1) Track of the week.

The following is previously unseen rehearsal footage of Prince & The Revolution from the summer of 1984. It was in this very room at Flying Cloud Drive Warehouse in Eden Prairie, Minnesota that Prince created and committed to tape one of his most beloved and iconic compositions, which six years later would become a worldwide hit for Sinead O'Connor.

It would have been Princes 60th birthday yesterday, seems right to share a tint portion of his awesomeness.

2) Video of the week.

An appropriate reaction for such a seminal album, it did remind me to go through RATM's albums though.

3) Quote of the week.

“Take the power back.”

- Zach de la Rocha.

4) Interesting thing of the week.

This is another rare piece of footage. This is a Rik singing 'Evil' in the big top in Nether Wallop at a big charity gig. It is with Jools Holland's Big Band featuring Bill Wyman, Jools on piano and a bizarre appearence from John Otway on guitar.

5) Gig of the week.

Broken Shackle at The Garibaldi, Northampton.

"So many vinyls of jazz afro funk post punk disco delight. Propagating the tropical big beat and bongo manifesto."

Speak to you next Friday,

Josh.
